Conservation volunteers required

We are currently recruiting volunteers to join regular practical conservation work parties on the four sites that make up Banstead Commons. Work parties are held on the first Tuesday and third Thursday of each month. The sessions start at 10am and finish around 2pm. Practical conservation tasks include scrub clearance, invasive species control, coppicing, bracken bashing and litter picking.

Conservation volunteers don’t need to commit to regular sessions. Sign up as a volunteer and you will be emailed with a list of work party dates, with their location and the set task, and you can turn up on the day without registering in advance.

Become A Volunteer Warden

The Banstead Commons Conservators manage four sites, 550 hectares of land in total. Volunteer Wardens are our eyes and ears on the ground and help to report concerns, litter pick and engage with the local community.

Corporate Volunteering

Employee volunteering teams can make a huge difference to Banstead Commons by providing hands-on support to a practical task that will help to restore and conserve wildlife habitats on Banstead Commons. They also provide excellent opportunities for team-building exercises that can be fun and rewarding.
