Commons Keeper

Banstead Commons Conservators are looking for a new Keeper to deliver management duties on the four sites that make up Banstead Commons – Banstead Downs, Park Downs, Burgh Heath and Banstead Heath.  Banstead Commons consist of 550 hectares of protected open space in the borough of Reigate and Banstead, you will deliver the day to day countryside management and maintenance on the sites.

Ideally with a qualification or keen interest in countryside management, arboriculture, or another relevant discipline, you will have experience of habitat management and conservation.  In addition to practical skills, the role requires you to have basic computer skills and be a good communicator who is comfortable working alone and within a team.

The successful candidate will be working in a small, dedicated team who are passionate about protecting and preserving Banstead Commons for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.
